Meet the Team

  • FOUNDER & CEO

Event Superpower: Calm, cool, collected - folks are usually organized or flexible, but my unique ability to balance both allows me to be ready for anything.

    Favorite parts of event planning:

    1. Surprise & delight: I love the challenge of creating & executing unforgettable moments that bring an event to the next level.

    2. Venue sourcing: Whether I’m on vacation or trying a new restaurant, my venue sourcing glasses are always on. I am dreaming up event ideas for every venue.

    3. Bringing ideas to life: There is nothing quite like seeing months of hard work come to life during event setup.

How Christina spends her free time: I have two little ones who keep me on my toes! When I’m not playing or giggling with them, I love spending time outdoors, reading beach reads, trying new recipes, and traveling.

Travel wishlist: Live aboard in the Galapagos

Favorite brands & people: Proper Hotels, Ojai Valley Inn, Min Jin Lee, Taylor Swift

Favorite event with Whoa Events: As the pandemic was winding down, we had clients who wanted to plan 4 day, 3 night retreats for their entire company in 6-8 weeks. I loved the challenge of finding the perfect venue, creating a safe & unique experience, and connecting people to teams they had only ever met over Zoom.

  • SENIOR EVENT COORDINATOR

Event Superpower: Schedules & logistics - not every minute needs to be scheduled, but you should know what’s next at any minute.

    Favorite parts of event planning:

    1. The Five Ps: I love anticipating problems and seeing how that translates to a great event.

    2. Scheduling puzzles: Whether it’s a small dinner or a multi-day event, timing and flow can make or break an event.

    3. 6AM, Event Day: The energy is electric, everyone’s had a little too much caffeine, and that flitty feeling in my stomach lets me know that I’m in the right place.

How Meredith spends her free time: I like variety! In a week, you could find me grabbing a beer with a friend, hiking with my dog, binging the latest true crime doc, co-hosting a period drama analysis podcast, planning my next trip, or doing a DIY house project with my husband.

Travel wishlist: Germany for the Christmas Market season

Favorite brands & people: Local shop & restaurant owners, Leslie Knope, my husband

Favorite event with Whoa Events: Hands down, the Zion + Vegas retreat. The complexity of the logistics & glamping at Under Canvas Zion was an amazing juxtaposition. It was so satisfying and we had so much freedom to build an insane experience from the ground up.

  • SENIOR EVENT COORDINATOR

Event Superpower: An eye for detail - every detail is important so your event can run seamlessly.

    Favorite parts of event planning:

    1. Venue sourcing: I love finding new & exciting spaces for events.

    2. Designing the details: From big installations, small touches and everything in between, I enjoy bringing events to life.

    3. Interacting with attendees: I love being a friendly face on-site to ensure each attendee feels comfortable and taken care of.

How Monica spends her free time: Spending time with family & friends, binge watching any and all reality TV shoes, and listening to a good true crime podcast while relaxing on the beach.

    Travel wishlist: Tulum & Greece

Favorite brands & people: Veuve Clicquot, Anthropologie, my parents

Favorite event with Whoa Events: An intimate 20-person incentive trip to New York City. Although it was a small group, the goal was to make a big impact and we did just that by curating an upscale and personalized experience for every attendee.
